Serguei Beloussov, CEO of Acronis has announced that a whopping amount of $147 Million has been raised in funding by Goldman Sachs, but the insiders state that the value might be in between $1Billion to $2Billion. Goldman Sachs which is an American investment bank & financial services company headquartered in New York, says that they are pretty much excited to invest in Acronis.
In 2003, Acronis has focused on disk partitioning and boot loader software to have a complete focus on disaster recovery and backup software based upon disk imaging technology. Later in September 2012, Acronis has acquired Group logic which allowed Acronis to integrate all the mobile operating system devices including the worlds leading giant Apple into enterprise environment through acquisition of software of Acronis with this acquisition expanded Acronis data protection on mobile devices.
Cyber Protection is to safeguard data which is a product of Acronis, is a platform that throws third-party developers to integrate Acronis technology to their applications and Cyber Cloud, which in turn enables enterprise IT to deliver Acronis at rapid growth. Backup, secure file access, disaster recovery, sync & share, and small to medium-sized enterprises are the developments made by Acronis. Acronis has 18 offices globally and it’s R&D centers Acronis labs are situated in Singapore and USA. In 2014, Acronis has won the Mobility product of the year at Network Computing Awards and in the same year, Acronis acquired Backup Agent, which is a cloud backup company, and scaled a disaster recovery software company. Also in 2015, they have won the Channel Pro Readers Choice Award for Best Backup and Disaster Recovery Vendor.
Like other data backup and security companies, Acronis is providing far better solutions and resolutions and they are referred to as “Five Sectors of Cyber Protection” which are classified as safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity, and security of data. Acronis Backup and Acronis Backup Advanced are a disk-based backup and recovery programs and data protection is also included.
Beloussov says this is the first time the company has raised capital and they are happily welcoming huge investors in the future who can join Acronis and build a bright future in the software industry.
